EPIF releases its second Sustainability Report

The second sustainability report of EP Infrastructure, a.s. (EPIF) Group presents an overview of the Group´s performance in 2019, emphasizing the environmental, social and governance aspects of its activities. For the first time, the sustainability report incorporates Group’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
EPIF Group is an active agent in promoting transition towards a new, more sustainable and inclusive energy model. Over 89% of EPIF Group’s Adjusted EBITDA comes from gas transmission, gas and power distribution and gas storage activities, that have a comparatively low emission impact. The recent acquisition of Plzeňská teplárenská marked a partial shift of EPIF´s energy mix towards fuels such as biomass and communal waste. In 2019, EPIF Group also continued its effort in increasing its portfolio in renewable energy sources. EPIF Group’s installed capacity in renewable electricity sources increased from 26 MWe in 2015 to 40 MWe in 2019, which is an increase over 53%.
As a key player in the Central European energy infrastructure, EPIF is conscious of its substantial responsibility for enhancing energy security and sustainability.
